Hairstylist/Cosmetologist

We are seeking a talented and passionate Part-Time Hair Stylist with a valid cosmetology license to join our dynamic team. As a Hair Stylist, you will provide exceptional hair services to our clients while creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. This is a commission-based position and exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic retail environment, where you can develop your skills and expertise while delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of hair services, including cuts, color, styling, and treatments, in accordance with client preferences and current trends.
• Consult with clients to understand their needs and recommend appropriate services and products.
• Maintain a clean and organized work station, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Stay updated on the latest hair trends, techniques, and products to provide clients with the best service possible.
• Build and maintain a loyal client base through excellent service and communication.
• Promote salon products and services to clients to enhance their experience and increase sales.
• Collaborate with other stylists and salon staff to create a positive team environment.
• Attend training sessions and workshops to improve skills and knowledge in the beauty industry.

Qualifications

• Valid California cosmetology license
• Experience in retail sales and store management.
• Strong knowledge of hair, nail, and skin care techniques.
• Ability to sanitize and maintain a clean store environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple clients simultaneously.
• Proficiency in using various tools and equipment for hair and nail care services.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Strong knowledge of hair cutting, coloring, and styling techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $35.00 per hour
