Our client, a high-end luxury spa and wellness center in the heart of Los Angeles, California, US , is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Esthetician & Spa Consultant to join their team. This role offers a unique blend of hands-on client service and consultative expertise, focusing on providing exceptional skincare treatments and personalized wellness recommendations. You will be responsible for performing a wide range of advanced esthetic treatments, including facials, peels, microdermabrasion, and waxing, tailored to individual client needs. Beyond direct service, you will act as a trusted advisor, educating clients on skincare regimes, product selection, and overall wellness practices to achieve their beauty and health goals. The ideal candidate possesses advanced knowledge of dermatological principles, an artistic touch, and a commitment to continuous learning in the ever-evolving beauty and wellness industry. You will also contribute to staff training, treatment protocol development, and maintaining the highest standards of client care and spa presentation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building rapport with a discerning clientele and collaborating with spa management and other team members. Key Responsibilities: Perform a comprehensive range of advanced facial and skincare treatments. Conduct detailed skin analysis and develop personalized treatment plans for clients. Educate clients on proper skincare techniques, product usage, and lifestyle recommendations. Recommend and sell spa products, understanding ingredient benefits and client needs. Maintain detailed client records, including treatment history and progress notes. Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and advanced treatment techniques. Ensure adherence to hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards. Assist in training and mentoring junior estheticians. Contribute to the development and refinement of spa service menus and protocols. Provide exceptional customer service and ensure client satisfaction. Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting treatment room environment. Qualifications: Valid Esthetician License in California. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a licensed esthetician, preferably in a luxury spa setting. Proven expertise in performing advanced skincare treatments (e.g., chemical peels, microdermabrasion, laser treatments - if applicable). In-depth knowledge of skin physiology, anatomy, and various skin conditions. Experience with high-end skincare product lines and ingredients. Excellent client consultation and communication skills. Strong sales and customer service orientation. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings. Professional demeanor and appearance. Certification in specialized treatments (e.g., laser, advanced peels) is a plus. Passion for the beauty and wellness industry and commitment to ongoing education.
