Stylist/Barber

Vintage Men's Grooming is seeking a talented and passionate Barber/Stylist to join our busy upscale men's salon. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in barbering and or hair styling. You will be responsible for creating stylish looks for clients while providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming and professional environment. (We welcome stylists who are interested in transitioning to focus exclusively on men’s hair. We specialize solely in men’s haircuts — no color or chemical services.)

• Responsibilities*
• Provide high-quality haircuts, styles, and grooming services to clients.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salon area, tools, and equipment.
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide personalized recommendations.
• Manage appointments using salon software.
• Assist with front desk operations including check-ins, payments, and retail sales.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in hair styling and grooming techniques.
• Experience*
• Must be a licensed Barber or Cosmetologist in the state of New York.
• Proven experience as a Barber/Stylist with a strong portfolio of work.
• Proficiency in using salon software and retail math for managing sales and inventory.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
• A passion for the beauty industry and a desire to continuously improve skills through professional development.
