THE BARBER SOHO NEW YORK is an authentic Japanese barbershop located at 68 Thompson Street, New York, NY 10012. Originating in Japan, where it operates seven locations, The Barber expanded to New York City 7 years ago and sports a diverse clientele nestled in the scenic SoHo neighborhood. We are dedicated to providing quality haircuts and luxury relaxation experiences to busy New Yorkers and guests.

We are looking for an experienced bilingual barber to join our team. Training is provided for our traditional barber services, but a strong foundational skill set is needed.

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience
• New York Barber License

Bilingual: English and Japanese

• Strong set of skills to achieve classic and current hair styles
• Enjoys connecting with clients of all ages
• Reliable transportation
• Preferred, but not required
• Clientele following
• Portfolio
• Offering
• Competitive commission based pay

Diligence, consistent skill, and customer retention may result in an increase of percentage earned per cut

Continual education from working alongside senior barbers
