Job Summary

The Stylist is responsible for engaging with guests, consulting on their hair care needs, and recommending products and services. They deliver quality professional services with an emphasis on the guest's total look, supporting the Experience Manager and Assistant Services Manager through performance, people, and process goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hair services including cuts, color, texture, treatments, styling, updos, perms, blowouts, keratin treatments, extensions, makeup applications, and ear piercing.
• Meet sales goals and productivity targets by delivering exceptional guest service and contributing to meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, and retail shrink.
• Demonstrate business acumen, understanding of business drivers, and identified opportunities for growth.
• Support in-store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives that deliver an unrivaled guest experience.
• Stay informed about new industry trends, products, and services, and be knowledgeable about ingredients and benefits to better serve guests.

Guest Service

• Develop guest relationships through consultations and retail recommendations.
• Demonstrate high standards of customer service and salon image standards.
• Serve all guests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Partner with skin therapists and the retail team to provide a total-store experience.

Process and Compliance

• Be knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, and standards.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures before, during, and after services.
• Utilize booking and clientele systems to book guests for return services and events.
• Maintain outstanding store operational standards, including cleanliness and adherence to the dress code.

Requirements

• Cosmetology license.
• Previous relevant salon experience is preferred.

Skills

• Proficiency with latest salon techniques, equipment, and chemicals.
• Ability to communicate product knowledge and build strong customer relationships.
