Job Summary of Specialty Artist

Ulta Beauty is responsible for driving sales of the MAC brand through professional makeup artistry, skincare consultations, and product demonstrations. This role delivers exceptional guest experiences while maintaining store and brand standards, supporting performance goals, and enhancing customer relationships. The position requires strong product knowledge, creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively within the store team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Specialty Artist:

• Meet or exceed MAC brand sales and service goals while supporting overall store performance, including guest loyalty, omni - channel sales, and retail shrink targets.
• Engage guests through personalized service, makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations in alignment with brand standards.
• Build and maintain a strong customer portfolio by following up on guest inquiries and maintaining active communication with preferred guests.
• Participate in in - store events and appointments to enhance guest experience and drive MAC brand sales.
• Stay informed on industry trends, new products, and brand initiatives to provide expert advice to guests and colleagues.
• Collaborate with team members and managers to support store goals and a positive, inclusive work environment.
• Maintain operational excellence, including cleanliness, product replenishment, merchandising, and adherence to loss prevention practices.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and dress code standards while promoting MAC brand initiatives and programs, such as "Back to MAC."

Qualifications and Experience of Specialty Artist:

• High school diploma preferred; cosmetology or demonstrator license as required by state law.
• Cosmetics artistry experience preferred.
• Strong competency in sales, products, and customer service.
• Ability to build and maintain customer relationships and work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to handle guest concerns effectively in a fast - paced environment.
