GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPE

The Senior Hair Care Specialist is dedicated to engaging with clients, providing expert consultation on their hair care needs, and recommending tailored products and services. You will deliver high-quality professional services while focusing on achieving exceptional guest experiences. This role requires a strong passion for the beauty industry, outstanding guest service skills, and a knack for product knowledge.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Hair Care Specialist will embody Ulta Beauty's mission, vision, and values by performing the following duties:

Provide a comprehensive range of hair services including hair design, cutting, coloring, treatments, styling, and updos.
Aim to meet or exceed an average weekly sales goal of $1250 while contributing to overall store sales and guest loyalty.
Demonstrate products and assist with the execution of in-store promotions for an unmatched guest experience.
Stay informed on current trends, products, and services to enhance guest engagement.
Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.

GUEST RELATIONS

Build strong relationships with clients through personalized consultations and recommendations.
Serve all clients, including walk-ins, promptly and professionally.
Collaborate with skin therapists and retail teams to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Share information about the guest loyalty program and Ulta Beauty app with customers.
Participate in ongoing training and meetings for continuous development.

PROCEDURES & STANDARDS

Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty's policies and safety standards.
Follow established safety and sanitation protocols before, during, and after services, adhering to state guidelines.
Utilize booking systems appropriately to manage guest appointments efficiently.
Maintain an organized and clean salon environment, complying with the dress code.
Adhere to loss prevention practices to protect company assets.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Must hold a valid cosmetology license.

Experience

Relevant previous work experience is essential.

Skills

Proficiency in salon techniques for hair services and the ability to recommend and sell products.
Effective communication skills and strong ability to build client relationships.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Engage in continuous mobility and lifting up to 10 lbs. during shifts.

The pay range for this position is between $15.50 to $22.90 per hour, or service-based pay, depending on experience and qualifications.
