Job Duties and Responsibilities of Hair Artist

• Provide a diverse array of hair and beauty treatments, including cutting, styling, coloring, hair treatments, extensions, makeup services, and ear piercing.
• Achieve or surpass expectations in service and sales by delivering exceptional guest service and recommending suitable products.
• Demonstrate your business savvy by assisting with promotional and marketing initiatives aimed at enhancing salon visibility and profitability.
• Improve your guest consultations by staying up-to-date on industry trends, services, and products.
• Cultivate strong guest bonds through individualized consultations and expert advice.
• Partner with colleagues in the beauty field to deliver a cohesive and thorough service experience for clients.
• Adhere to safety, sanitation, and company policies, while also meeting the requirements of state board regulations.
• Ensure that the salon and other assigned areas are clean and ready for use.
• Utilize booking systems as a way to drive regular attendance and participation in in-store activities.

Qualifications and Experience of Hair Artist

• A valid license in cosmetology is a prerequisite for this job.
• Background in salon work is preferred.
• Expertise in haircutting, hair coloring, styling, treatments, makeup application, and connected beauty services.
• Competence in handling professional equipment, tools, and product components.
• Demonstrated competency in communication and fostering lasting connections with customers.
• Aptitude for independent execution of duties and collaborative contributions within a team framework.
• Openness to working at different times, such as evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Salary

The hourly salary can be as low as $11.25 or as high as $16.80.
