This role focuses on delivering exceptional guest experiences in a salon setting while gaining hands on experience in haircare services under the mentorship of a senior stylist. The position is a temporary entry point designed to transition into a full stylist role. Responsibilities evolve over six months from assisting in services and retail support to performing professional hair treatments and styling independently. A strong passion for beauty, commitment to learning, and guest service excellence are key to success in this role.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Cosmetology Assistant:

• Support salon professionals with shampooing, treatments, styling, and color services to enhance customer satisfaction and help meet sales goals for the store.
• - Independently deliver salon services after the initial training phase, offering haircuts, coloring, treatments, blowouts, and styling.
• Offer individualized product recommendations and showcases to increase sales and customer devotion.
• Comply with the company and state board standards by ensuring the salon area is clean, sanitized, and orderly.
• Advocate for and champion on-site events and marketing efforts that aim to enhance the guest experience.
• Engage with team members, beauty consultants, and retail personnel to ensure a seamless customer journey in the store.
• Ensure compliance and consistency by following safety, sanitation, booking, and service protocols diligently.

Qualifications and Experience of Cosmetology Assistant:

• Compliance with a valid cosmetology license is obligatory.
• Understanding the rudimentary salon techniques, instruments, and products required for tasks like cutting, coloring, styling, and hair treatments.
• Interested in refining skills across different salon service realms, including makeup application and ear piercing where suitable.
• Proficient in communication and dedicated to establishing long-lasting connections with clients.
• Ability to execute duties independently and also participate in teamwork within a team environment.
