We are seeking a skilled and personable Barber / Barbero to join our dynamic salon team in 1439B Webaster Ave Bronx NY 10456 . The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional grooming and styling services, creating a welcoming environment for clients. This role involves providing expert haircuts, shaves, and styling, as well as offering additional beauty services such as hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and makeup application. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to sanitation and customer satisfaction. Experience with salon software like MINDBODY and retail sales is a plus. Responsibilities

• Perform professional barbering services including haircuts, straight razor shaves, and beard trims with precision and artistry
• Provide advanced styling services such as hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and hair threading
• Apply color theory principles for coloring services and recommend suitable products to clients
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas according to industry regulations
• Engage with clients to understand their needs, offering personalized recommendations for hair care, retail products, and additional beauty services
• Manage front desk duties including greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and processing payments
• Upsell retail products such as hair care items, nail care products, and makeup to enhance client experience and salon revenue
• Mentor junior staff or apprentices when applicable; assist in store management tasks as needed

Experience

• Proven experience in barbering or cosmetology with proficiency in haircutting, styling, and grooming techniques
• Knowledge of advanced beauty treatments including eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and hair coloring techniques
• Familiarity with salon software systems like MINDBODY or similar platforms for booking and retail management
• Strong understanding of sanitation standards and safety protocols within a salon environment
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
• Ability to perform retail sales through upselling techniques while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction
• Previous experience mentoring or training junior staff is advantageous but not required
