Front Desk Manager
The Painted GypsyWe’re a high-end, fast-paced hair salon looking for a Front Desk Manager who thrives on organization, leadership, and exceptional client experience. This role is the heartbeat of the salon — you set the tone, keep the flow smooth, and make sure both clients and stylists feel supported and taken care of.
If you’re polished, proactive, detail-obsessed (in a good way), and love being the go-to person — this could be your role.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage the front desk team and daily salon operations
- Oversee booking, scheduling, confirmations, deposits, and cancellations
- Ensure a seamless luxury client experience from check-in to checkout
- Handle POS transactions, retail sales, and cash management
- Communicate clearly with stylists, assistants, and ownership
- Enforce salon policies with confidence and professionalism
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area
- Assist with inventory, retail displays, and ordering when needed
- Troubleshoot schedule changes, client concerns, and last-minute adjustments
- Be the calm, capable leader when the salon gets busy
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years experience in a salon, spa, hospitality, or front-facing management role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Highly organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment
- Confident handling clients, policies, and high-volume scheduling
- Tech-savvy (booking systems, POS, email, texting platforms)
- A polished, professional presence with a warm personality
