As a Hair Stylist, you will be responsible for

• Welcoming customers and determining their preferences through thoughtful consultation.
• Recommending suitable hairstyles and haircuts based on face shapes and personal tastes.
• Washing, rinsing, and drying clients' hair using appropriate products.
• Cutting, trimming, and shaving hair with professional tools.
• Applying various hair coloring techniques, including highlights, ombre, and balayage.
• Creating hairstyles for both special occasions and everyday wear.
• Applying necessary hair treatment products for optimal results.
• Building lasting relationships with clients by remembering their preferences.
• Managing appointment bookings and serving walk-in customers.
• Maintaining a clean and organized salon environment and sterilizing tools as needed.
• Cross-selling products or services that suit clients' needs.

To excel in this role, you should have

• Experience as a Hair Stylist, Hairdresser, Colorist, or in a similar position.
• Proficiency in hair straightening and curling techniques.
• Hands-on experience with various hair coloring methods.
• A broad knowledge of haircuts tailored to different hair lengths.
• Familiarity with hair treatment products, including keratin smoothing treatments.
• Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
• A valid cosmetology license in New York.

Compensation and Benefits
