The Opportunity
Substance Salon is seeking a career-driven Salon Coordinator / Assistant Manager to help lead daily operations and support continued growth. This is not an entry-level front desk role. We are looking for a dependable, business-minded professional who understands structure, accountability, and what it takes to keep a high-performing salon running smoothly.
After more than 16 years in business, we are entering our next phase and need someone who can step in immediately, take ownership, and grow with us long term.
What This Role Is
- Leadership role supporting ownership and salon operations
- Oversight of front desk and daily workflow
- Schedule management with a focus on keeping chairs consistently booked
- Staff coordination, onboarding support, and accountability
- Systems-driven position focused on organization, consistency, and results
What This Role Is Not
- Not for first-time job seekers
- Not for candidates without management or operations experience
- Not a temporary or short-term position
Hiring Priority
We are prioritizing applicants who can apply, interview, and begin paid training immediately.
- Paid training starts at $18 per hour, beginning Friday, January 16
- After a 30 day review, hourly rate increases to $19 per hour based on performance
- Additional earning opportunities become available as performance benchmarks are met

What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 3 years experience in salon management or comparable service-based leadership role
- Proven ability to manage people, schedules, and operations
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Business-minded with an understanding of sales, retention, and guest experience
- Reliable, professional, and comfortable taking ownership
