Snip-its Haircuts for Kids is seeking a Salon Receptionist / Salon Assistant. Our ideal candidate is someone who is currently enrolled in Cosmetology school looking to gain salon experience. This salon assistant job in West Caldwell, NJ is a great opportunity to train and learn the skills needed to work in a busy salon while completing your schooling. ABOUT SNIP-ITS

Snip-its is a leading kids' salon franchise with 40+ locations throughout the United States that has been operating for more than 25 years! Our fully equipped salons cater to families with children and provide a fun, safe, and exciting hair cutting and styling experience for boys and girls ages 6 months to 12 years old. At Snip-its, team members enjoy working with a variety of adorable children, delivering magic and fun.

SALON ASSISTANT JOB DUTIES

• Greet all customers in a friendly manner immediately upon arrival while maintaining a high degree of professionalism in all communication with other employees and customers
• Operate the front desk computer and all of its functions
• Maintain ongoing communication with the salon staff to ensure the correct routing of customers and the correct services are being performed
• Answer phones in a friendly and efficient manner and handle customer inquiries, comments, and issues in a professional and courteous manner
• Perform salon assistant tasks such as shampooing clients, helping with laundry, and various salon cleaning
• Learn from other team members and possibly join our Stylist team after graduating from cosmetology school!

SALON RECEPTIONIST JOB

• Competitive starting pay of $16 hr (up to $18 / hr based on performance review after starting)
