At Sit Still Kids Salon, our mission is to provide children and families with positive experiences and consistently high-quality haircuts in a welcoming, inclusive environment. We combine a fun, kid-focused atmosphere with professional standards and efficient service.

We are seeking an experienced barber who is confident delivering clean, consistent cuts within structured appointment times and enjoys working with kids and families.

You will be part of a growing national brand with more than 25 locations across the country.

What This Role Is

This is a high-volume haircutting position focused primarily on boys’ and short-style services. Most services are completed in approximately 20-30 minutes. Barbers are responsible for consultation with the parent, executing the haircut, and reviewing the finished cut before the client leaves the chair.

This role requires strong clipper technique, efficiency, patience, and professionalism — especially when working with children who may be nervous or moving.

  • Ability to confidently complete a haircut within 20-30 minutes
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both parents and children
  • Professional demeanor and customer-service skills
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality

Strongly Preferred

  • Experience cutting children’s hair
  • Previous experience in a structured or franchise shop

  • Comfort working in a team-based shop

Responsibilities

  • Consult with the parent before beginning the service
