Hair Stylist Assistant

We are seeking an energetic and motivated Hair Stylist Assistant to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will support senior stylists in delivering exceptional hair services, assist with client needs, and help maintain a clean, organized salon environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in hair styling, customer service, and salon operations while working in a progressive and inclusive space.

• Assist senior stylists with hair styling, coloring, extensions, and other treatments such as eyelash extensions and nail care
• Prepare clients for services by consulting on desired looks and explaining procedures clearly
• Maintain sanitation standards by cleaning tools, stations, and work areas according to health regulations
• Support the front desk team with scheduling appointments using salon software like MINDBODY and managing client check-ins
• Promote retail products through upselling techniques, including hair care products, makeup application tools, and retail math strategies
• Help with store management tasks such as inventory checks and organizing supplies
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with clients warmly and professionally to ensure a positive experience
• Basic knowledge of hair styling techniques and salon procedures
• Familiarity with salon software systems such as MINDBODY is preferred
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
• Ability to perform sanitation duties diligently to uphold health standards
• Experience or interest in hair extensions, coloring theory, barbering, or makeup application is a plus
• Willingness to learn about retail sales strategies including upselling and retail math
• Passion for the beauty industry with a desire to grow skills in hair threading, straight razor use, eyelash extensions, and nail care

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
