Cosmetologist

Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Cosmetologist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide exceptional beauty services to our clients, enhancing their appearance and boosting their confidence. You will be responsible for performing a variety of hair, nail, and skincare treatments while ensuring a welcoming and relaxing environment for all customers. Your expertise in cosmetology and customer service will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide a range of cosmetology services including hair styling, coloring, cutting, and nail care.
• Consult with clients to understand their needs and recommend appropriate services.
• Utilize knowledge of color theory to achieve desired hair color results.
• Perform straight razor shaves and barbering services as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of client services using salon software such as MINDBODY.
• Promote additional services through effective upselling techniques.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of workstations and tools in compliance with health regulations.
• Stay updated on the latest beauty trends, techniques, and products to provide clients with the best possible experience.

Qualifications

• Valid cosmetology license in accordance with state regulations.
• Proficient in hair styling, color application, nail care, and basic skincare treatments.
• Familiarity with salon software systems; experience with MINDBODY is a plus.
• Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell services effectively.
• Knowledge of color theory and its application in hair treatments.
• Experience with straight razor techniques is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor to foster positive client relationships.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
