Responsibilities

• Lead by example in delivering flawless blow dry services, utilizing advanced techniques to achieve desired looks for clients.
• Mentor and train junior stylists on hair styling, sanitation practices, and customer service excellence.
• Manage appointment scheduling using salon software such as MINDBODY, ensuring efficient flow and client satisfaction.
• Provide expert consultations on hair extensions, color theory, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care to enhance client results.
• Oversee retail sales by upselling products like styling tools, hair care products, and accessories to boost revenue.
• Maintain salon cleanliness and sanitation standards rigorously to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
• Support store management with front desk duties including client check-in/out, answering inquiries, and managing retail inventory with retail math skills.
• Assist with store operations such as mentoring team members, managing client flow, and ensuring excellent communication across all departments.

Experience

• Proven experience as a professional hairstylist with expertise in blow drying, hair styling, and finishing techniques.
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience within a salon or barbershop setting.
• Strong knowledge of cosmetology practices including hair extensions, coloring (color theory), barbering techniques like straight razor shaves, and nail care.
• Familiarity with salon management software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms for scheduling and client management.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate clients on services like eyelash extensions, hair threading, makeup application, and retail options.
• Experience in retail sales with a focus on upselling strategies to enhance client experience and store revenue.
