Hair Stylist

Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hair styling, customer service, and salon management. This role requires creativity, technical skills, and the ability to provide exceptional service to our clients while maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide a range of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and hair extensions.
• Utilize knowledge of color theory to achieve desired results for clients.
• Maintain sanitation standards in accordance with state regulations and salon policies.
• Operate salon software such as MINDBODY for scheduling appointments and managing client records.
• Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, answering phones, and managing retail sales.
• Upsell products and services to enhance the client experience and increase salon revenue.
• Mentor junior stylists and provide guidance on techniques and customer service best practices.
• Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and new products to offer clients the latest styles.
• Perform additional services such as eyelash extensions, makeup application, nail care, and hair threading as needed.

Skills

• Proficient in hair styling techniques including barbering and straight razor skills.
• Strong understanding of cosmetology principles and practices.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
• Ability to manage retail sales effectively using retail math principles.
• Previous experience with salon software systems is preferred.
• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build lasting relationships with clients.
