Salon Aken is seeking a skilled and motivated Hairstylist to join our team. This role is focused on delivering high-quality hair services while creating a consistent, elevated client experience.

We are looking for a stylist who is confident in their technical work, strong in consultation, and aligned with a professional, team-oriented environment. This is an opportunity to grow within a structured salon that values performance, accountability, and long-term development.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide precision haircuts, color services, balayage, highlights, and styling tailored to each client
• Deliver thorough consultations to understand client goals and provide expert recommendations
• Maintain a high standard of client experience from start to finish
• Recommend and sell professional haircare products with confidence and intention
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of your station and shared salon areas at all times
• Support team operations and contribute to a positive, professional salon culture

What We’re Looking For

• Valid Illinois Cosmetology License
• Strong technical skills in cutting and color (balayage/highlights preferred)
• Excellent communication and consultation ability
• Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented
• Team-focused with a strong work ethic
• Open to feedback, education, and continuous growth

Preferred (Not Required)

• Experience with extensions or advanced color techniques
• Social media presence showcasing your work
• Existing clientele (not required, but a plus)

Schedule

• Full-time and part-time available
