Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Salon Chair Renter located at Roots Hair Salon in Chicago, IL. As a chair renter, you will be responsible for managing your own clientele while delivering exceptional hair care services. Day-to-day tasks include consulting with clients to determine their hair care needs, performing various hairstyling services such as cuts, coloring, and treatments, and maintaining a clean and professional workspace. You will also be responsible for scheduling your own appointments and managing your business operations, including payments and inventory for products you choose to use or sell.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in hairstyling techniques, including cutting, coloring, treatments, and styling
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills to build and maintain a loyal client base
• Ability to manage scheduling, payments, and inventory for your independent business
• Knowledge of hair care products and techniques
• Self-motivated and organized with excellent time management skills
• Valid cosmetology license in the state of Illinois
• Previous experience as a hairstylist in a salon setting is a plus
