Product Development Assistant - Cosmetic Industry

We're looking for a detail-oriented Product Development Assistant to provide essential administrative, organizational, and project management support. You'll be managing sample requests, coordinating product testing, gathering marketing assets, organizing archives, and ensuring smooth communication with suppliers. What you'll need:
- 2+ years of office experience, ideally in product development.
- Proven organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple timelines.
- Basic understanding of makeup and color evaluation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Apps and social media savvy.

Responsibilities
- Maintain and organize PD room along with the category manager’s shelving
- Manage reformulations, making sure formula matches approved standards and project milestones are met
- Create a library of masters for all projects
- Organize files/communication for launch items
- Organize product testing groups and collect feedback
- Collect all shipments throughout the day & deliver to PD managers
- Relay PD manager formula feedback to suppliers
- Organize meetings with suppliers at the office and during trade shows
- Obtain product benchmarks & ship to suppliers
- Evaluate and approve first production batch approvals
- Create proposals for shade ranges/new projects
- Organize vendor and competitive sampling archives
- Gather assets needed for marketing decks/meetings including swatch photos and formula information
- Create claims testing proposals based on competitive research and new claims opportunities
- Create new launch reports for buzz-driving makeup launches
- Manage sample requests from cross-functional partners for marketing books, photoshoots, meetings, etc.
