Duties

• Provide expert barbering services including haircuts, straight razor shaves, beard trims, and hair styling tailored to each client’s preferences.
• Utilize salon software like VAGARO to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently.
• Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools, sanitizing workstations, and adhering to health regulations to ensure client safety.
• Offer personalized consultations on color theory for hair coloring services and recommend suitable products or treatments.
• Engage with clients through excellent communication skills, understanding their needs and providing professional advice on styles and grooming options.
• Assist with front desk duties including appointment bookings, answering inquiries, and managing walk-in clients to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Mentor junior staff members by sharing techniques in hair threading, styling tips, and customer service excellence to foster team growth.
• Keep detailed records of services performed using salon management tools and ensure all equipment is maintained in optimal condition.

Qualifications

• Valid cosmetology or barbering license with current certification required; experience in a licensed salon environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of salon software systems such as VAGARO for scheduling and retail management.
• Expertise in color theory for hair coloring services along with skills in straight razor shaving and barbering techniques.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with diverse clients.
• Demonstrated ability to manage retail sales effectively through upselling strategies and retail math understanding.
• Commitment to sanitation standards ensuring a safe environment for clients and staff alike.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50.00 - $100.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 54 per week
