Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chicago, IL, for a Natural Hair Care Professional in a grant-funded position. The professional will provide hair care services, including styling, braiding, and maintenance of natural hair. Responsibilities include consulting clients to understand their hair care needs, educating clients on best practices for hair health, conducting product demonstrations, and staying updated on natural hair trends. The role also involves collaborating with team members on grant-related activities and ensuring a professional, welcoming salon experience for all clients.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in natural hair care techniques, including braiding, twisting, and protective styling
• Ability to consult with clients on their hair care goals and provide personalized hair care recommendations
• Knowledge of natural hair care products and techniques for their proper use and application
• Willingness to stay informed about trends and developments in the natural hair care industry
• Strong communication and client service skills to ensure an exceptional customer experience
