A Barber at Creedmoor Psychiatric Center provides barbering services to individuals.

prescribed style standards, hair type, and/or facial features.

Combs and brushes individuals’ hair using detangling and styling tools.
Cuts, trims, and shapes hair using scissors, clippers, trimmers, and razors.
Shampoos, rinses, and conditions hair with water, liquid hair products, and other

solutions; and uses towels and/or hair dryers to dry the hair and scalp.

mustaches using lather, razors, and other solutions.

condition individuals’ skin and scalp.

Maintains and updates service records; and may record and report observations of

individuals’ behavior to appropriate clinical staff.

disposes of hair clippings.

lubricate, and make minor repairs to maintain them.

Candidate must possess a license and current registration to practice barbering

in New York State.

This position is eligible for a Downstate adjustment of $4,000
