Salary Range: $145-165K/year dependant on experience

With a growing global presence and rapid expansion in the US market, we are looking for a Director of US Retail Trade Marketing to lead our retail marketing strategy and execution across our US retail partners.
This high-impact role is at the strategic core of our US retailer expansion—where brand vision meets consumer experience. As the Director of Retail Marketing, you will drive the end-to-end planning, execution, and optimization of retail activations that grow awareness, increase conversion, and foster brand loyalty in-store and online.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Retail Marketing Strategy:
Build and execute seasonal and long-term trade marketing plans aligned with brand goals and retailer priorities.
- Product Launches:
Own full 360° launch execution—toolkits, timelines, asset delivery, PDP content, and in-store support.
- Retailer Relationships:
Partner closely with sales and key retailers on joint business planning, presentations, and market meetings.
- Omnichannel Planning:
Collaborate with Digital, Social, Media and Global teams to drive visibility across in-store and online retailer platforms.
- Promotional Planning:
Manage promotional calendars, sampling programs, and budget allocations. Track ROI and optimize performance.
- Asset Development:
Brief and manage creative development for all retailer needs, including social, media, dotcom, and POS/POP.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Serve as a key point of contact for internal teams (Sales, Creative, VM, Education, PR, Product Development).
- Performance & Insights:
Analyze retailer sellout data, Circana and brand’s post-campaign performance, shopper behavior, and competitive activity to drive future strategy.
Marketing Planning & Campaign Execution
- Develop and lead seasonal and long-term, retailer-specific marketing strategies.
- Own end-to-end execution of product launches, exclusives, and promotional programs.
- Create and distribute comprehensive campaign toolkits, calendars, and launch timelines.
- Partner with Global Marketing to align campaign messaging, creative, and content across all retail touchpoints.
- Manage and deliver retailer creative needs from briefing to execution (dotcom, media, social, collateral).
- Collaborate with PR/Social teams to amplify launches and drive digital engagement.
- Oversee retailer PDP asset development; review and refine copy and visuals to improve conversion.
- Maintain internal trackers and calendars to support visibility and alignment.
Sampling & Budget Oversight
- Monitor and manage trade marketing budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Own and optimize retailer sampling programs, including budgeting, forecasting, ordering, and shipping.
- Retailer Meetings & Relationship Management.
- Partner with Sales and Account teams on market week meetings, retailer updates, and strategy sessions.
- Lead preparation of all presentations and decks for internal and external meetings.
- Monitor retailer readiness and manage communication for launches and activations.
- Respond to retailer-specific ad hoc requests with speed and clarity.
Operational Excellence
- Develop accurate sales forecasts and reporting to drive informed decision-making and create the processes for the wider sales team.
- Streamline sales operations including inventory (retail, testers, samples), pricing, and promotional strategies for overall sales team.
- Create KPIs wholesale department tracks with precision to measure sell-in to sell-thru impact.
People & Team Leadership
- Currently has 1 direct report, opportunity to scale and build a trade marketing team.
- Strong communication and presentation skills—you can influence at all levels.
Who You Are
- 7+ years of retail/trade marketing experience in the beauty industry (skincare preferred).
- Proven success record of scaling a beauty brand at Sephora or Ulta.
- Deep experience launching products and building 360° campaigns as well as fostering a great relationship with Sephora or Ulta a must.
