Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and professional Barber Chair Rental Specialist to join our vibrant salon team. This role offers licensed cosmetologists and barbers the opportunity to rent a chair and operate independently within a supportive environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, expertise in hair styling, barbering, and hair extensions, and be proficient with salon software such as MINDBODY. This position is perfect for experienced beauty professionals looking to grow their clientele while maintaining autonomy in their work.

Responsibilities

Manage your own client appointments, providing high-quality haircuts, styling, and grooming services including hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and nail care.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with industry regulations.
Offer additional services such as makeup application, hair threading, and retail product upselling to enhance client satisfaction.
Keep up-to-date with current trends in color theory, hair styling techniques, and barbering practices.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively and creating a welcoming environment.
Assist with store management tasks as needed, including inventory management and retail math calculations.
Mentor junior staff or apprentices when applicable, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.

Qualifications

Valid cosmetology or barbering license required.
Experience with hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, and makeup application preferred.
Proficiency with salon management software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms.
Strong knowledge of color theory, sanitation standards, and current hair styling trends.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to upsell retail products effectively.
Demonstrated customer service excellence with a professional demeanor.
Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented attitude.
