Responsibilities

• Assist senior stylists with hair styling, coloring, and extension applications, including hair extensions and eyelash extensions.
• Prepare clients for services by performing consultations on color theory, hair threading, and makeup application to ensure personalized results.
• Maintain salon cleanliness and sanitation standards by sterilizing tools such as straight razors and ensuring workstations are organized and hygienic.
• Manage front desk duties including scheduling appointments using salon software like MINDBODY, greeting clients warmly, and handling retail sales with upselling techniques.
• Support store management with inventory checks, retail math calculations, and restocking products related to nail care, hair care, and retail items.
• Assist in retail sales by recommending products based on client needs and educating clients on proper usage to enhance their experience.
• Participate in mentoring sessions to develop communication skills, technical expertise, and customer service excellence.

Requirements

• Valid cosmetology or barbering license or currently enrolled in a recognized program.
• Basic knowledge of hair styling techniques and sanitation practices essential for maintaining a safe salon environment.
• Familiarity with salon software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms for appointment scheduling and client management.
• Experience or interest in hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and hair threading is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members while providing outstanding customer service.
• Ability to multitask efficiently at the front desk while supporting stylist needs seamlessly.
• Eagerness to learn new skills such as retail upselling, store management tasks, and advanced styling techniques like color theory application or straight razor shaving.
