What You Will Do
The Supply Planning Manager is responsible providing leadership to a team responsible for the continuous supply of finished goods from multiple global suppliers to meet customer service and inventory level goals and objectives. Also, this position works across Demand Planning, Distribution, Manufacturing, Procurement, Finance, Quality and Regulatory to coordinate supply chain activities including, but not limited to supply chain business planning, supply network design and performance management, business continuity planning, inventory management, and product lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion supply planning initiatives to maintain and improve customer and supplier service levels while maintaining optimized inventory levels. Key Performance Metrics: Customer Unit Fill Rate, Inventory Value and Days of Supply, Slow Moving and Obsolete Inventory, Supplier Performance.
- Ensures team delivers adequate supply replenishment plans based on current inventory position, supplier lead times, unconstrained open stock and promotional forecasts, supplier capacity, safety stock requirements.
- Approves Purchase Orders as the need arises in alignment with the consensus operational plan
- Leads a group of supply chain professionals to achieve stated business outcome goals and performance objectives and driving consistent processes. Responsible for Associate development and succession planning.
- Address any supply issues, additional costs and preventative actions to vendors in the event of late deliveries and/or short shipments. Provides analysis, communication, and corrective actions for these events.
- Be a key participant of the IBP process being the voice for Supply Planning to elevate unresolved supply planning issues; provides input, offers potential solutions and supports follow-up activities.
- Support new product introductions, product change projects and execution of promotional activities.
- Be responsible for optimizing supply chain through collaboration with partners on such variables as lot sizes, delivery schedules, and production/distribution capacity.
- Actively benchmarks in order to improve overall processes and results. Seeks opportunities with global supply chain counterparts.
- Develop the annual Inventory/DOS plan & updates to coincide with financial cycle updates
Qualifications
Education
- A Bachelor’s Degree is required, a focus in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Science, Logistics or related is required.
- An advanced degree is preferred.
Required
Experience and Skills
- Six (6) years of overall supply chain experience
- Two (2) years of supply planning experience
- Effective communication & presentation skills; ability to influence at all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in MS Office software
Preferred
- Proven track record of people leadership and development
- Consistent record of effective supply chain performance, including customer service, supplier and asset management, and continuous process and systems improvement
- Process Excellence / Six Sigma - Green Belt / Lean Manufacturing
- Experience in MRP / inventory management, SAP APO, or SAP ECC
- Understanding of manufacturing operations and plants.
- Other related professional certifications (e.g., APICS, ISM, etc.)

What’s In It For You
Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:
$124,100.00 - $175,200.00
This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
