In this role you will be tasked with overseeing daily hotel operations and providing comprehensive leadership as part of the ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional guest service and achieving financial profitability.
As General Manager you will also be instrumental in fostering a sense of exploration and discovery for our guests while ensuring that their stays are enriched with urban adventures from exploring Grant Park and the shores of Lake Michigan to discovering the wonders of Museum Campus. About the Hilton Chicago On May 2 1927 Hilton Chicago (originally the Stevens Hotel) opened its doors as the largest hotel in the world with 3000 guest rooms 27 chair barber shop a pharmacy a candy shop a five-lane bowling alley 1200 seat movie theatre and an 18-hole miniature golf course atop the hotel.
The hotel has been meticulously redesigned and restored in a way that preserves the magnificence of its early 20th Century style while incorporating all the 21st Century conveniences the guests expect.
The present-day Hilton Chicago boasts 1544 guest rooms over 50 suites including 13 Specialty Suites. Additionally the hotel offers 235000 sq. ft. of meeting and event space a diverse array of amenities exceptional dining options and a prime location in downtown Chicago.
Lead direct and manage all hotel operations including but not limited to hotel budgeting and forecasting strategic planning leading service initiatives leading and managing balanced scorecard performance implementing and complying with all company policies and standards overseeing sales and marketing initiatives leading and developing the executive team responding to guests inquiries and resolving concerns and hotel-wide meeting participation and facilitation
Monitor and develop team member performance particularly the executive team and department heads to include but not limited to providing supervision and professional development scheduling conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition
Oversee service quality operational efficiency guest satisfaction standards compliance and service and financial measurements
Identify operational performance productivity and efficiency gaps and implement measures to correct those deficiencies
Serve as primary liaison with hotel owners and corporate entities
Thorough understanding of revenue management commercial strategies and sales in large group hotel
Performance driven with strong leadership capability and proven ability to attract motivate lead inspire and direct a talented team towards driving excellent guest and employee satisfaction results
Successful in maintaining Union partnerships.
Ability to build and maintain successful ownership relationships and partnerships
