Job Overview

Hair Style Express is seeking an experienced Hair Stylist to join our established, women-owned salon in the heart of Jefferson Park, Chicago. We are looking to add 2 talented stylists to our team.

Our salon has been a trusted part of the community for many years, and the women currently working here have been together at the same location for over 20 years. This is an excellent opportunity for a stylist who is looking for a stable, professional, and welcoming salon environment with an established reputation.

Compensation

50% commission on all services

10% commission on retail product sales

Schedule

Responsibilities

Provide professional hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and finishing

Deliver excellent customer service and create a welcoming experience for clients

Build and maintain strong client relationships

Recommend and sell salon products when appropriate

Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workstation

Work collaboratively with the salon team to uphold service standards

Qualifications

2–5 years of hairstyling experience required

Active Illinois cosmetology license preferred

Strong communication and customer service skills

Professional, dependable, and team-oriented

Passion for beauty, styling, and client satisfaction
