Salon Assistant - Luxury Hair Care Brand!

Our client, a luxury hair care brand, is seeking a Salon Assistant to join their team in NYC on a contract basis!

Must be available on Saturdays

Responsibilities

• Support all Salon operation efforts with fellow apprentices.
• Supports all Salon related requests from hairdressers including seating clients, shampooing clients, assuring clients are comfortable and offered beverage service.
• Supports positive synergy between cut and color departments including supporting Blow-Drying, Color blow-dry’s, cross service promotions.
• Assures consistent execution of the ‘Ideal Client Experience’ creating a high touch customer service experience that is efficient, helpful, friendly, courteous and professional.
• Communicates as needed with stock room supervisor to ensure appropriate stock levels of retail and back-bar are maintained.
• Reports to Salon management any client recovery needs/issues and demonstrates excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in beauty industry preferred
• Must obtain a current cosmetology license issued by the state of NY.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment including evenings and weekends.
• This position requires moderate physical effort. Some unpacking and packing of materials is required when restocking the floor supplies. One must stand nearly 8 hours.
