Assistant Hair Stylist

We are urgently seeking a talented and passionate hair stylist assistant to assist our team at our hair salon. This is a woman-owned small business located in Murray Hill, Manhattan. The ideal candidate will be able to provide maintenance services, including washing, coloring, blow-drying, and styling, all of which can and will be taught in the salon. Excellent customer service and teamwork are essential. We are seeking a part-time or full-time assistant to join our team. We are committed to helping them develop their skills and advance within the industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide a range of hair services, including washing, coloring, and blow-drying.
• Maintain sanitation standards
• Use salon software for appointment scheduling and client management.
• Assist with front desk operations, including greeting clients and cashing them out

Skills

• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a focus on building lasting relationships with clients.
• Experience with salon management tasks is a plus.
