Position Summary

e.l.f. Cosmetics is looking for a Summer Intern, Order & Sample Operations to support the sample request process across all brands. In this role, you’ll help manage incoming requests, track inventory and shipments, and ensure samples are delivered accurately and on time. This is a hands-on, detail-focused opportunity to gain exposure to operational workflows while supporting high-visibility events, PR, and brand initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage the sample request inbox, responding to requests from teams across the country
• Take ownership of the sample request process from start to finish, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks
• Track sample requests and shipments in Excel to maintain accurate, organized records
• Prioritize requests based on event dates, deadlines, and business needs
• Partner closely with Events, PR, and Brand teams to understand timing, quantities, and requirements
• Monitor sample inventory levels and proactively flag low stock or potential issues
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and streamline the sample process
• Support special projects and event-related needs as they arise

Requirements

• Must be a rising junior or senior at the time of the internship
• Must be available for the full internship period: June 1– August 28
• Highly organized and comfortable managing a high volume of details
• Able to stay calm and focused while managing a busy inbox with frequent incoming requests
• Strong ability to prioritize multiple requests and manage competing deadlines
• Confident using Excel to track orders, update spreadsheets, and maintain accurate information
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to respond to emails in a clear, friendly, and professional manner
• Able to follow established processes while also identifying opportunities for improvement
• Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working independently when needed
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
• SAP experience is a plus

Business Rationale

• This role will support the sample process across all brands and help ensure smooth execution for summer events, PR, and brand initiatives. The intern will work closely with cross-functional teams and gain hands-on experience supporting high-visibility operational workflows.

$20 - $20 an hour
