Salon Assistant

We’re a tight-knit, upscale family salon in Boerum Hill dedicated to thoughtful service and a welcoming client experience. We’re seeking a motivated, reliable, and passionate Salon Assistant eager to grow in the beauty industry.

Responsibilities

• Shampoo, condition, and blow-dry clients
• Assist stylists with color, treatments, and service prep
• Maintain a clean, organized salon: sweeping, laundry, sanitizing stations, restocking
• Support front desk: answer phones, schedule appointments, manage basic POS tasks
• Greet clients and help create an exceptional, welcoming experience

Requirements

• Valid Cosmetology License
• Availability on Fridays and Saturdays
• Enthusiastic, dependable, and team-oriented
• Strong customer-service skills and professional presentation

Preferred

• Prior salon experience or cosmetology student with practical training
• Familiarity with salon scheduling/POS systems
