Housekeeper – Private Residence (Weekdays, Dog Care)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our household team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and comfortable living environment, while also assisting with the daily care of two dogs. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent cleaning skills, a genuine comfort with dogs, and a commitment to providing high-quality household care. Experience in residential cleaning, janitorial services, or hotel housekeeping is highly valued. The Housekeeper will play a vital role in ensuring the home remains hygienic, welcoming, well-maintained, and smoothly run.

• Monday to Friday
• Consistent weekday schedule

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of all living spaces, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas
• Handle laundry duties such as washing, folding, and organizing clothing and linens
• Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and carpet cleaning as needed
• Ensure sanitation standards are met across all areas, including kitchen and bathroom surfaces
• Assist with meal preparation or light cooking tasks as required
• Manage household supplies inventory and notify management when supplies need replenishing
• Feed, walk, and provide basic daily care for two household dogs
• Ensure dogs are kept on a consistent routine and their areas remain clean and orderly
• Provide attentive, calm, and responsible care for the dogs during scheduled work hours
• Provide exceptional household service by addressing daily needs promptly and professionally
• Perform specialized cleaning tasks such as floor care, upholstery cleaning, or window washing when necessary
• Follow safety protocols related to sanitation, equipment use, and pet handling to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

• Proven experience in residential cleaning, custodial work, or hotel housekeeping preferred
• Comfort with dogs and prior experience caring for pets is required
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, sanitation standards, and carpet cleaning
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
• Good communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor within a household setting
• Experience with laundry processes and basic cooking skills is a plus
• Janitorial or commercial cleaning experience is advantageous but not mandatory
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, discretion, and professionalism

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $24.97 - $30.07 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
