Job Summary of Hairstylist

As a Licensed Hair Stylist at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, you will provide professional hair and makeup services to Guests at Tenaya Stone Spa. This includes consultations, personalized haircuts, styling, therapeutic treatments, and expert makeup application. You will ensure every Guest experiences the highest standard of service in a welcoming and magical environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Hairstylist

Deliver professional haircuts, styling, and therapeutic hair treatments for Guests.
Provide makeup consultations and applications tailored to Guest preferences.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace following sanitation protocols.
Address and resolve difficult or sensitive situations independently using service recovery methods.
Educate Guests on hair and beauty services, products, and treatments.
Memorize and deliver service spiel effectively to enhance the Guest experience.
Stay informed about Disneyland® Resort offerings and provide accurate recommendations to Guests.

Qualifications and Experience of Hairstylist

Minimum age: 18 years.
Valid Cosmetologist or Barber license in the State of California.
Previous experience in a spa, salon, or hotel environment preferred.
Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently while providing exceptional Guest service.
Familiarity with Disneyland® Resort and surrounding areas is a plus.

Salary

The starting pay rate for this role in California is $20.42 per hour, plus commission and gratuities.
