Job Title: Assistant Boutique Manager

Reporting to: Boutique Manager

The ideal Assistant Boutique Manager is inspirational, dynamic and committed to playing a leading role in the success of the store by supporting the Boutique Manager to lead, coach and develop our team of Clean Beauty Experts and Leads to achieve all sales, guest service and operational targets. You’ll enjoy working with our diverse teams and leaders, who care about fostering an environment of development, creativity and authenticity.

We work closely with our guests to ensure satisfaction through one-on-one skincare and makeup consultations. Our team works cohesively in a beautiful, creative, and inspirational work environment.

A Day in the Life….

People Development

  • Prioritize people’s development by arranging ongoing one-to-one time with direct reports to review sales results, identifying opportunities, and providing well rounded feedback.
  • Partner with the boutique manager to arrange new hire onboarding schedule and support as needed.
  • Strive to foster an environment where mutual feedback is encouraged.
  • Equip direct reports to understand and follow company policies and guidelines.
  • Partner with the internal education department (EDU) on training, product resources and KPI metrics.
  • Ensure clear and consistent communication with your manager regarding store updates, successes, challenges and matters of importance

Sales Management

  • Communicate directly with store vendors, cross functional partners, and sales representatives.
  • Operate Credo Live to support our online clientele.
  • Partner with the boutique manager to maintain business strategies to grow the guest database, increase store traffic and optimize sales.
  • Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to the sales team.

Retail Operations

  • Maintain store visual standards in accordance with Credo Beauty merchandising guidelines.
  • Partner with the boutique manager to manage and handle all issues that arise from our guests (complaints, grievances, etc.)
  • Manage store inventory levels, record discrepancies, returns and shrink with accuracy.
  • Train store team to understand and adhere to guidelines for store safety, incident reports, OSHA, and emergency action plans.

Project Management

  • Find creative ways to enhance the guest experience, associate engagement and overall store performance.
  • Identify challenges and meet them with thoughtful and meaningful solutions.
  • Partner with the boutique manager in weekly operational duties (inventory management, return to warehouse, etc.).
  • Open to supporting ad hoc projects as needed.

We would love to hear from you if you have…

  • 1 to 2 years in a retail leadership position (Assistant Store Manager or Supervisor).
  • Powerful leading skills and business orientation.
  • Guest management skills and guest service experience in retail stores is a plus.
  • Demonstrates and promotes beauty products on the spot (e.g., how to apply serums or face creams).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organization and planning skills.
  • Previous experience with POS systems & payment systems.
  • The ability to think on your feet and react quickly to store needs.
  • Efficiency in Microsoft Suite, Microsoft 360, and using company hardware (iPads, PC/Mac laptop).
  • Promote passion and can-do attitude with your team daily.
  • Demonstrate understanding on what motivates others and always lead by example.
  • Acts with integrity in words and actions while consistently demonstrating care and compassion.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, bend/stretch to stock shelves, stand/walk the sales floor for an entire shift, work in a fragrance filled environment & handle and apply cosmetics products to our guests-with or without accommodation.
  • Flexible availability to workdays/early evenings, weekends and holidays.
