Salon Manager/Front Desk Coordinator
Coiffique SalonCoiffique Salon is a luxury protective style and makeup salon in Los Angeles, CA. We recently rebranded and redesigned our space to deliver a five-star experience to our clients, and now we're building the team to match.
We are looking for a salon-savvy, people-first Salon Manager to lead our front-of-house and support our stylist team. This is not a typical receptionist role. You need to understand protective styles, know how to lead a creative team, and run an operation with precision — all while making every client feel like the most important person in the room.
What You'll Do
- Lead day-to-day salon operations: scheduling, client flow, stylist coordination, and team accountability
- Serve as the first and last impression for every Coiffique client — setting the tone for the entire experience
- Use your knowledge of protective styles (braids, locs, twists, wig installs) to assist with client consultations, answer service questions, and set accurate expectations
- Manage the booking calendar using salon software (Vagaro, Booksy, or Square Appointments)
- Support the hiring, onboarding, and ongoing development of new team members
- Resolve client concerns quickly and professionally — de-escalation and empathy are essential
- Handle retail sales, payment processing, daily reconciliation, and inventory management
- Work closely with the owner to uphold and evolve Coiffique's luxury service standards
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in a salon management, team lead, or supervisory role — beauty industry strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of protective styles: you understand the difference between knotless braids and box braids, what a wig install involves, and how to speak to clients about hair care and realistic expectations
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and hold a team accountable with professionalism and care
- Warm, polished communication style — in person, by phone, and over DM/text
- Organized and calm under pressure, with strong multitasking ability during peak hours
- Comfortable with booking software and tech tools (we will train on our specific system)
- Available Tuesday through Sunday. Weekend availability is required
