Hair Salon Assistant

Position Overview

As a Hair Salon Assistant at Boulevard, you will play a vital role in supporting our stylists and ensuring a seamless salon experience for our valued clients. Your responsibilities will include assisting with various tasks such as shampooing, conditioning, preparing clients for services, maintaining salon cleanliness, and providing exceptional customer service. We are seeking a proactive individual with a strong work ethic and a genuine passion for the beauty industry to contribute to our salon's success.

Responsibilities

• Assist stylists with shampooing, conditioning, and preparing clients for hair services
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of salon workstations, tools, and common areas
• Greet clients warmly and ensure their comfort throughout their salon visit
• Escort clients to and from styling stations and provide exceptional customer service
• Assist with laundry, towel folding, and other salon-related tasks as needed
• Support stylists with mixing color formulas and preparing products for treatments
• Uphold salon sanitation and safety standards to ensure a hygienic environment for clients and staff
• Collaborate with team members to deliver an exceptional salon experience and promote salon services and retail products

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a salon or customer service environment preferred but not required
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a positive and friendly demeanor
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced salon environment
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to supporting salon operations
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
• Passion for the beauty industry and a desire to learn and grow within a salon setting
