Salon Assistant/Apprentice

BOSS HAIR GROUP is Chicago's leading eco-luxe salon space in the bustling downtown River North area. We are in search of a detail-oriented team member who represents our brand in front and back of house. Applicants must have a vibrant and upbeat personality. Previous Salon experience is required, as we also offer departmentalized cutting and/or coloring educational training programs after initial 90 day probationary period.

BOSS is an "all hands on deck" atmosphere. Cleanliness and attention to deal is our highest priority in servicing clients and taking care of our team. We are looking for someone who can follow instructions closely with previous salon experience.

Our Salon Assistant position duties include assisting colorists, stylists and front desk staff. Must be available Tuesdays-Saturdays. Responsibilities include shampooing clients, maintaining a clean and organized environment, sanitizing surfaces of the salon regularly, laundry, stocking haircolor/retail inventory and servicing our guests with the five-star “BOSS” experience. Salon Assistant/Apprentices are there to ensure a seamless client experience from start-to-finish.

As a Salon Assistant, you will be integral to delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining a welcoming salon environment. Reporting to the Salon Manager, your core responsibilities will include assisting with hair styling, ensuring sanitation standards, and providing excellent communication to clients.

A strong interest in beauty, fashion and a polished appearance required. We offer complimentary hair care services as well as a generous discount on our sustainable and eco-luxe hair product lines, R+Co and R+Co BLEU. Depending on previous experience, pay ranges from $15 - $16.50 with tips. MUST HAVE PREVIOUS SALON or BEAUTY SCHOOL EXPERIENCEto be considered for both positions. Send resume and cover letter.
