We are seeking a talented and passionate Makeup Artist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in makeup application and a keen eye for aesthetics, along with the ability to provide exceptional customer service. This role requires proficiency in various beauty techniques, including makeup application, hair styling, and nail care. The Makeup Artist will play a vital role in enhancing our clients' beauty experiences while ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.

Duties

Provide expert makeup application services tailored to individual client needs and preferences.
Utilize knowledge of color theory to create harmonious looks that enhance clients' features.
Perform hair styling services, including hair extensions and hair threading, as needed.
Maintain high standards of sanitation and hygiene in all beauty practices.
Assist with retail sales by recommending products that complement services provided.
Utilize salon software, including MINDBODY, for scheduling appointments and managing client records.
Mentor junior staff members in makeup techniques and customer service best practices.
Handle front desk responsibilities, including greeting clients and managing appointment bookings.
Engage in upselling services and products to enhance the overall client experience.
Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to continuously improve skills.

Qualifications

Valid cosmetology or barbering license is required.
Proficiency in makeup application techniques and tools.
Experience with hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and nail care is preferred.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
Familiarity with salon software systems such as MINDBODY is a plus.
Knowledge of retail math to assist with inventory management and sales tracking.
Ability to provide excellent customer service while creating a positive atmosphere for clients.
Previous experience in store management or mentoring roles is advantageous.
