Freelance Hair Stylist & Makeup Artist – Weddings & Events

We are seeking experienced freelance hair stylists and makeup artists to join our network of freelance bridal and special events artists for the 2026 season. We service weddings and events throughout the Tri-State area and are expanding our roster due to high demand.

This is an independent contractor (1099) opportunity for professionals who are passionate about bridal beauty and delivering a luxury client experience. Artists maintain control over their schedules and may accept or decline bookings based on availability.

Scope of Work

• Provide on-site hair styling and/or makeup services for weddings and special events
• Deliver polished, long-lasting bridal looks (updos, blowouts, soft glam, full glam, etc.)
• Maintain a professional, client-first demeanor at all times
• Communicate clearly and reliably regarding bookings, timing, and availability

Qualifications

• Valid New York State cosmetology and/or esthetician license
• Minimum 2 years of professional hairstyling experience (high-end salon or blowout bar experience preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of professional makeup artistry experience
• Strong technical skills in bridal styling and makeup
• Reliable, professional, detail-oriented, and punctual
• Comfortable working on location and collaborating with a team
