Salon Assistant

We are in a fast-paced environment and need a team-player who is eager to learn and grow with the company.

The job responsibilities will include [but are not limited to]:

• Assist the stylists with their day-to-day needs in coloring, styling, and cutting hair; assistant should be comfortable shampooing client’s hair and providing conditioning treatments (training provided)
• Provide regular cleaning of salon throughout the day; between each client all surfaces should be wiped down including color bar, stations, mirrors, shampoo bowls; sweeping hair off floor
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness of stylist and colorist stations and carts; tools should be regularly cleaned according to industry standards
• Complete opening and/or closing checklists; ensure salon is clean and ready for clients
• Always Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor with clients; abide by company dress code

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate in a professional and courteous manner with customers, coworkers and management
• Exceptional time management skills, exhibiting sound judgment and the ability to prioritize
• Physical fitness due to the nature of the job that requires being on your feet most of the day, physical stamina is required

Experience

• Cosmetology License (or current enrollment) is required if you would like to participate in the advanced training apprenticeship program

Job Type: Full or Part-time, 24-35+ hours per week

Hours: We are open Tuesday through Saturday
