Duties

• Perform a variety of chemical treatments such as coloring, relaxing, perming, and keratin smoothing with precision and care.
• Provide expert hair styling, haircutting, and finishing services tailored to each client’s preferences.
• Assist clients with consultations to determine the best treatments and styles based on their hair type and desired outcome.
• Maintain strict sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning tools, stations, and work areas in compliance with health regulations.
• Use salon software systems like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, update client profiles, and manage retail sales efficiently.
• Educate clients on aftercare routines and recommend suitable retail products to enhance their results and satisfaction.
• Upsell additional services such as eyelash extensions, nail care, or makeup application to maximize client experience and salon revenue.
• Mentor junior team members in hair techniques, sanitation practices, and customer service excellence.
• Manage front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, booking appointments, and handling retail transactions.
• Stay current with industry trends in color theory, hair extensions, threading techniques, and store management best practices.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Hair Stylist or Barber with a strong portfolio of chemical treatment services.
• Certification in Cosmetology or Barbering from an accredited program is required; additional training in advanced color theory or hair extensions is a plus.
• Demonstrated proficiency with salon software systems such as MINDBODY for scheduling and retail management.
• Knowledge of sanitation standards and best practices for chemical treatments to ensure client safety.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively consult with clients and collaborate with team members.
• Experience in retail sales, upselling techniques, and retail math to support store growth initiatives.
• Ability to perform hair threading, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care is desirable but not mandatory.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for mentoring others and providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.
