American Girl Hair Stylist (Licensed Cosmetologist/ 30 hours/ Benefitted)

About the position

The Salon Stylist is located at the AG Retail Flagship Los Angeles location and reports directly to the Assistant Salon Manager. This position is responsible for delivering Girl Hair Salon services, as well as the flexibility to adapt to changing business needs. The Salon Stylist will provide girl and doll salon services to customers that ensure a high-level experience at American Girl. This role requires performing a broad range of styles and must be able to work with a variety of hair lengths, types, and textures. Additionally, the stylist will answer guest questions, provide general customer assistance, style hair according to company standards, resolve customer issues, conduct inventory of salon supplies, stock the area, clean, sanitize, maintain workspace, and communicate needs to management. Training and certification will be provided to perform ear piercing services, and trained associates will follow ear piercing procedure checklists, complete waivers, and review After Care procedures with guests.

Responsibilities

• Provide girl and doll salon services to customers.
• Perform a broad range of hairstyles for various hair lengths, types, and textures.
• Answer guest questions and provide general customer assistance.
• Style hair according to company standards.
• Resolve customer issues and conduct inventory of salon supplies.
• Stock area, clean, sanitize, and maintain workspace.
• Communicate needs to management.
• Follow ear piercing procedure checklist and review After Care procedures with guests.

Requirements

• Valid Cosmetology license for hair and nails in practicing state.
• Ability and experience to style hair in various styles and perform nail services.
• High energy and experience in a fast-paced service environment.
• Passion for quality and willingness to perform girl ear piercing services.
• Organizational skills and inventory management.
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Benefits

• Base hourly rate between \$18 and \$21.15.
