Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of braiding techniques, including box braids, Senegalese twists, cornrows, and other natural hair styles with precision and creativity
• Provide professional hair care services such as hair extensions, threading, and makeup application to enhance client satisfaction
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas, tools, and products in accordance with salon protocols
• Use salon software systems like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently
• Offer expert advice on hair care routines, product recommendations, and retail options to boost sales through upselling strategies
• Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing appointments, and ensuring a smooth flow of daily operations
• Mentor junior stylists or apprentices by sharing techniques on hair styling, coloring theory, and store management practices

Qualifications

• Valid cosmetology or barbering license with certification in natural hair styling and braiding techniques
• Proven experience in hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, and makeup application preferred
• Strong knowledge of sanitation standards and safety protocols within a salon environment
• Excellent communication skills to connect with diverse clients and team members effectively
• Familiarity with salon software such as MINDBODY for appointment booking and retail management
• Ability to perform retail math calculations for upselling products confidently
• Demonstrated skills in customer service, store management, and retail sales to ensure client satisfaction and business growth
