Client Overview: Our client, a popular beauty brand, is seeking a Freelance Strategic Planning Senior Manager to join their team.

Role Overview: This role leads key account partnerships across retail and e-commerce channels, overseeing financial forecasting, reporting, inventory strategy, and promotional alignment. It enhances the consumer experience through launch execution, digital updates, and on-site engagement strategies while ensuring strong cross-functional collaboration to drive profitable growth.

Strategic Planning Senior Manager Responsibilities

Lead and manage partnerships with major accounts, overseeing financial trends, forecasting, and contract management
Generate and distribute sales and cross-functional performance reports
Predict retail and shipment performance by aligning promotional strategies and replenishment needs
Identify opportunities to optimize inventory levels and resolve low- or out-of-stock situations
Forecast shipments and communicate weekly shifts, risks, and opportunities
Develop quarterly account budgets and trend plans across channels
Manage sample plans, product launches, PDP updates, and quarterly digital brand moments
Collaborate with Customer Service, Demand Planning, and Operations to support order flow, item forecasting, and allocation needs

Strategic Planning Senior Manager Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years in account management, wholesale sell-in, ecommerce, or retail planning
Strong understanding of market dynamics and competitive trends
Analytical, results-driven, and creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational capabilities
Ability to build effective cross-functional and external partnerships
Proficiency in business software tools and ability to manage multiple priorities
Demonstrates strategic thinking, initiative, customer focus, and business performance mindset
